Rules of Etiquette

AHS provides a forum where anyone and everyone can attend, make friends and contacts, be comfortable, and explore topics that interest them, whether novice or experienced in the lifestyle.  Predatory behavior, harassment, and other inappropriate actions will not be tolerated.   Everyone, regardless of preference, has the right of acceptance or refusal, and mutual consent is the key.
We have tried to consolidate these ideas to protect the rights of all meeting participants, into a simple set of rules that must be observed at all times before, during and after any AHS event.

The following Rules of Etiquette apply at all AHS Event's and Functions
  • All touching is by permission only.
  • Respect the personal space of others.
  • Be safe, sane and consensual in all that you do.
  • Abusive behavior is inappropriate and will not be tolerated.
  • Firearms and Laser penlights are prohibited.
  • Illegal drugs are not permitted on the premises of AHS events.
  • Excessive alcohol intake and illegal drugs are inconsistent with safe, sane conduct.
  • No one is dominant over, or submissive to, another without prior consent.
  • Keep personal conversation to a minimum during the discussion meeting.
  • The use of video or audio recording devices is prohibited at all AHS events except in specifically designated areas.
Camera and Recording Equipment Policy
  • No Audio or Video recording devices will be allowed at any AHS Meeting, Social, or Event. The Board of Directors reserves the right to confiscate any Audio or Video Media contained within any type of Audio or Video recording device, EXCEPT within an AHS authorized recording area at a special event.

We are serious about protecting your rights!
Trusted escorts (male or female) are available to single women who feel they would help them be more comfortable.    The Sergeant-at-Arms and other Operating Committee Members attend all events and are ready and able to deal with anyone who violates our Rules of Etiquette.. They will be introduced at every meeting so you can find them easily. These individuals all have the authority to make instant decisions necessary to keep order and enforce observance of the rules. Therefore, for everyone's protection and comfort, any threatening, harassing, or abusive behavior should be reported to one of them immediately. Troublemakers will be ejected, and probably permanently banned.  In addition, membership can be revoked, depending on the circumstances.
